Owen Frymire is a 2029 OF/LHP with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Northwest HS. Small frame with a lean athletic build with room to build. Left handed hitter with a spread, slightly crouched stance. Linear lower half actions with shift into contact. Shows a compact, inside path to contact with a line drive swing plane. Smooth mechanics with balanced throughout swing. Flashes solid pop to the gaps with present bat speed. Primarily used a mid-field approach but shows the barrel skills to hit to all fields. In the outfield shows good first step angles with athletic actions while closing on baseball. Compact arm circle with a smooth arm action from a three quarters arm slot. Curl hop momentum with a downhill throwing angle that produces plus arm whip. Also pitches showing a smooth tempo delivery with balance. Medium arm action back with a mid three quarters arm slot at release. Loose arm with some quickness through extenstion. Fastball has some arm side run at low to mid 70's. Curveball has 1/7 shape with good downward plane and depth. Flashed a change up at 65 mph with slight arm side run. Athletic tools that will continue to improve with physical maturity. Ran a 7.40 sixty-yard dash. Great Student.
