Abram Jenkins is a 2027 RHP/2B/OF with a 5-9 195 lb. frame from Leawood, KS who attends Shawnee Mission East High School. Medium, athletic build with projectable upside and room to fill throughout moving forward. Abbreviated windup on the bump with some drop and drive through lower half coming down the slope; consistency plays on the mound, with up to a three-quarters release and strong lower half. Fastball tops out at 81 mph with short running life to arm side, attacks hitters and works to the bottom of the zone comfortably. Creates bite on breaking and shows confidence in the pitch to get some uncomfortable swings. Will continue to refine fundamentals but hands work and can adjust to the hop, quick transfer with solid carry and arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a balance set up and remains balanced throughout, swings with intent and shows present looseness and bat speed through the zone. Ball comes off the barrel well, producing hard contact with additional power potential to unlock as swing adjustments are made. Athletic, versatile profile with tools that project as mechanics and skill refinement continue. Good student.
