Recruiting Season • High School Tryouts • Summer Travel

MOJO Baseball families & players - we’re excited to share several important updates as we head into high school baseball tryouts and recruiting season. Please read through carefully and note any action items.

🎥 Veo Video Access (Action Required)

Parents should have received an email from Veo asking you to accept access.

• Veo is our AI video solution and will provide game clips players can use for recruiting videos. We are the only team in KC to have this technology.

• Please check your inbox and accept the request as soon as possible

This is a key tool for recruiting—don’t skip this step.

🏨 Omaha Tournament Lodging (June 18–22) (Action Required)

Out of the 13 families attending Omaha, 4 families indicated a preference for a hotel. Based on that, we will:

• Pay the penalty fee and shift back to VRBO lodging

• The tournament runs June 18 – June 22

• Many games will be in or near Council Bluffs, IA

• We are the only team traveling from Kansas

Recommendation:
I strongly encourage families to book a VRBO now. Larger homes shared by multiple families can significantly reduce costs. Once I’m charged the penalty fee by the tournament, I’ll let families know what their portion will be and you can pay me then.

🎓 College Showcase Opportunity – Omaha (Action Required)

There is a college showcase with college coaches in attendance on:

• Saturday, June 20, 2026

• 7:30 AM

• Doc Ross Field - Iowa Western Community College

• Limited to 100 players - THIS WILL SELL OUT

Team hats are expected to arrive by the end of the first week of March.

📅 Summer Planning, Showcases & Important Dates (Very Important)

As we move into summer, families and players should begin planning their full summer schedule now, including tournaments, showcases, and academic milestones.

Please don’t forget to account for Important Dates, such as:

• ACT / SAT test dates

• Recruiting benchmarks and checkpoints

• Understanding where your player currently sits on our MOJO recruiting timeline

📬 Recruiting Expectations (Players)

Recruiting is a process, and consistency matters.

• Players should be spending ~3 hours per week on recruiting

• Goal: 50+ short recruiting videos by the end of the season

  • About 30 seconds each

  • Sent directly to college coaches and programs vix X, DM, and email.

  • Clips should tag schools, coaches, and recruiting pages
